This book is not only filled with good men but bad as well.Rylee used to be in the Army but left to take care of Shane her nephew when his mother, her sister, died. Rylee has been harassed by the next door neighbor, Shane is being bullied by Walter who is being abused by his mean father. & Shelby, Shane's mother had been bullied & harassed by Shane's biological father. All of this stopped when Rylee & Shane became part of the Bentley family.
Nolan is stubborn but, cares deeply not only for his family but for other people too. He almost made himself a pauper when he wouldn't ask for help from his family in a project that he was working on; Rylee set him straight on that subject.
This book was very good; it had several good vs bad themes, several sex scenes, new friends & family members that also were there to help out when needed.

Nolan Bentley is a great doctor, he has his own practice and is working on competing his dream of a place for the underprivileged to get the help they need. He is also lost, depressed and seriously in need of an intervention. Rylee is struggling to raise her nephew after her sister dies, army life was so much easier and something she was good at. Meeting Nolan adds another complication to Rylee's already complicated life but to Nolan meeting Rylee is just what he needs. I really enjoyed these two characters, Nolan needs a good kick in the butt for the way he is acting and Rylee has no problem giving it to him. Rylee on the other hand doesn't act like she was a Army officer who had grown men shaking in their boots until Shane is threatened and the real Rylee takes over. My god , that was one of the most funny things I have read. I think it surprised me as much as the character it happened too. Again a great storyline with an underlying message, great characters, funny happenings and a house with great magic. I really want one of these houses, they are so cool. I enjoyed reading about Nolan and Rylee and will be glad to see how things have progressed when the next book in this series comes out.
I like this series very much. Kathi Barton makes me laugh and sad with the stories. So far I haven't dislike any of her books.
Has a good plot, which is important to me. The men are what women dream about. They are strong but caring. I have several of her series and can't wait for the next story.
Another great book from Kathi Barton. The characters are exciting and the story keeps you on your toes. I love this series and can't wait for the next book.
It's pretty much a guarantee if Kathi S. Barton puts out a new book, I'll love it. I get sucked into her stories and the worlds she creates. Nolan is another such book. I'm loving the Bentley Legacy so far. Keep up the awesome writing Ms. Barton!
I absolutely loved reading Nolan and Rylee's book. I love that the author makes her female characters so independent and fierce, and the Men just as stubborn and possessive. The drama and intrigue in this story wasn't as pronounced as in some of her previous stories, but still enough to keep the reader interested. The sub story of Shane and Walter also added a lot to the plot. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
I love the Bentley's! Dr Nolan Bentley is acting very childish. He put everything he had into his dream and is mad at his family when they step in to help him keep it alive and his head above water. His mate Rylee is perfect for him, a soldier who left the army to care for her dying sister and nephew. She doesn't let him get away with anything. Rylee has had a lot to put up with. A fun and steamy read. I so want an spelled house, I would have so much more time to read.
