AN AWAKENING Before marriage to my husband I had always strived to excel in all things that I did. I have no idea if she would remember me or not, but I was in her Orchestra in Albany, OR when I was in the 7th grade. I always remembered her as one of the best teachers I ever encountered. On a chance, scrolling through random items to purchase I happened upon her book. We fought very hard to keep our little Music program at Memorial Middle School. I remember passionately marching on the School Board Meetings my Viola in tow and playing songs like 'We Will Overcome' I have to admit that I am a bit jealous. I would have rather been her favorite, but that boy whose name escapes me, was extremely talented. ;) It's so amazing to see this story in it's incomplete entirety. It's a very quick and fluid read with it's down to earth and unassuming prose. I loved reading this book. Short, sweet and to the point, it sure conveyed a lifetime of challenges and triumphs. It's a beautiful thing to know that someone that you so highly regarded is doing well and happy in their current life. :DProduct details

I really enjoyed Hide and Seek. What a horrible experience for this determined young mother. Great story of survival amidst physical, verbal and mental abuse. That she triumphed and flourished is a lesson for all.
Once I started it, couldn't put it down. A lot of insight into a woman's soul that I thought I knew, but didn't.
Buy it, you will like it.
